In June of 2017, Mike Meyers and Angel Acevedo founded the Military Basketball Association (MBA) which was designed to provide volunteer basketball coaches and players an organization that seeks to promote the military athlete. The Association is governed by its Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner, Conference Commissioner, President of Basketball Operations, and Basketball Council. It has currently accepted 4 Major Military Basketball Conferences that make up a total of 44-50 volunteer varsity level programs.

Every year the MBA host its Playoffs/Finals. Teams qualify and compete to determine the best installation in Men’s and Women’s Military Basketball. The Finals has been an excellent volunteer opportunity for members of the community to interact and support military veterans from all services around the nation and world. The tournament has been a great opportunity to bring awareness to suicide prevention and Post Traumatic Stress Injury (PTSI)  while military communities celebrate men and women in uniform.
