Nicole is known for her ability to take on complex, deeply personal subjects with empathy and precision. Working with a talented team, she produces documentary-style short films for nonprofit organizations across the country—projects that help drive missions forward and bring critical attention to underserved communities. Her feature documentary, The Journey Back to Normal – A Look at Complementary Therapies to Combat PTSD, was funded primarily through personal resources, with additional support from Game of Thrones creator George R.R. Martin and Parris McBride. The film premiered at Martin’s theater in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and has since impacted audiences nationwide. It was awarded Best Documentary at the International Kansas City Film Festival, The Raleigh Film and Arts Festival, and the International Show Low Film Festival, where it also received a Best Editing award. JBTN has screened at major universities including Rutgers, Drexel, and the University of Missouri, and has been integrated into college curriculums at Rutgers. Nicole’s dedication to telling underrepresented stories has led her to partner with organizations like Mend the Heart Foundation, Patriot Fund and Warrior Canine Connection, VBC Giving Foundation, Houses for Heroes, and Project One Vet at a Time.
Her upcoming project, Resilience—the Docuseries, is a follow-up to JBTN. It was inspired by a recurring question from audiences: “Why didn’t anyone talk about their military experience?” Resilience will answer that question—sharing raw, honest, and necessary conversations that explore what service members carry long after their time in uniform.
Nicole continues to serve in both creative and strategic roles—partnering with the Military Basketball Association as a film producer and director, and working in public relations and business development for Blue Goat Cyber, a veteran-owned medical device cybersecurity company. Through every project, Nicole remains committed to uncovering truth, giving space to those often unheard, and using film as a tool for impact and change.
