MILITARY BASKETBALL ASSOCIATION TO HOST 2026 VETERANS HEALTH SUMMIT FEATURING MONTEL WILLIAMS AND MAURICE P. KERRY

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO — The Military Basketball Association (MBA) today announced that Emmy Award-winning television host and veteran advocate Montel Williams will serve as moderator for the 2026 MBA Veterans Health Summit, taking place May 3, 2026, at the Hotel Polaris.

A Marine Corps and Navy veteran and one of the nation’s most prominent voices in veteran advocacy, Williams will lead high-impact discussions focused on the most urgent issues facing today’s military and veteran communities, including mental health, access to care, and the challenges of transitioning to civilian life.

The summit will also feature actor and producer Maurice P. Kerry, a decorated Marine Corps combat veteran, who will join Williams in engaging directly with attendees during a special meet-and-greet experience. Together, their participation elevates the summit as a premier gathering centered on awareness, connection, and solutions for those who have served.

Held in conjunction with the 2026 MBA and WMBA Championship Finals at the United States Air Force Academy which will air on CBS Sports Network, the Veterans Health Summit represents a key expansion of the MBA’s mission—bringing critical health conversations to the forefront while uniting the military community both on and off the court.

“This summit is about more than conversation—it’s about impact,” said MBA Commissioner Mike Meyers. “Having Montel Williams lead these discussions brings national attention to the real challenges our service members and veterans face, while reinforcing our commitment to supporting their mental health and overall wellbeing.”

The event is open to participating MBA athletes as well as veterans and service members who register in advance, offering a unique opportunity to engage with influential leaders and advocates in an intimate, solutions-driven environment.
