MILITARY BASKETBALL ASSOCIATION TO HOST EXCLUSIVE MEET & GREET WITH MONTEL WILLIAMS AND MAURICE P. KERRY DURING 2026 CHAMPIONSHIP WEEKEND
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO — The Military Basketball Association (MBA) will host a special meet-and-greet event featuring Emmy Award-winning television host and veteran advocate Montel Williams and Marine Corps combat veteran, actor, and producer Maurice P. Kerry on May 3, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Clune Arena.
This exclusive experience will give MBA athletes, veterans, and attendees the opportunity to engage directly with both Williams and Kerry in an intimate and personal setting. Centered on connection, conversation, and community, the meet-and-greet highlights the MBA’s ongoing commitment to bringing together influential voices who understand the realities of military service and life beyond it.
Williams, a Marine Corps and Navy veteran and one of the nation’s most recognized advocates for veterans’ health, will also serve as moderator for the 2026 MBA Veterans Health Summit taking place earlier that day at Hotel Polaris. His leadership in national conversations around mental health, access to care, and veteran transition continues to drive meaningful awareness and change.
Kerry, a decorated Marine Corps veteran and rising figure in film and television, brings a powerful perspective shaped by his service and creative work. His participation in the meet-and-greet underscores the importance of storytelling, representation, and continued engagement within the veteran community.
Held in conjunction with the 2026 MBA and WMBA Championship Finals at the United States Air Force Academy—airing on CBS Sports Network—the meet-and-greet serves as a key moment during championship weekend, offering attendees direct access to two influential figures dedicated to advocacy and impact.
“This event is about connection,” said MBA Commissioner Mike Meyers. “Bringing Montel Williams and Maurice P. Kerry together with our athletes and veterans creates a meaningful opportunity for conversation, inspiration, and community building.”
The meet-and-greet is open to participating MBA athletes, veterans, and registered attendees.
